Experience the Göta Canal on a bicycle!
Rent a bicycle at Berg Locks or in Borensberg and enjoy a trip along the Göta Canal’s beautiful towpath! You can leave the bikes at the respective depot regardless of where you rented. You can use the bikes during regular depot opening hours.
Light Cycling
Enjoy the stretch Berg-Borensberg both ways, a perfect day trip of circa 42 km, where you pedal along the canal bank. You could also just cycle one stretch, circa 21 km.
You will find beautiful natural views and the occasional watering hole to recharge your batteries. Whether you bring your own picnic or want to sit down somewhere for coffee.
The route is easy to cycle, on gravel road, there are almost no hills and gravel surface. Here you can also meet the canal company’s sheep who work as conservationists/grasscutters.

Facts
3-speed women’s bikes equipped with reflectors, basket, foot and hand brake and pack holder. If you use your bike in the dark, you must bring your own lighting.
Bike helmets, child saddles and panniers are available as accessories.
